As Angelus Academy completes its 10th anniversary year, and to build a foundation for the decades to come, we are initiating a long-term Capital Campaign to help finance the purchase and development of a permanent home for the school. As many of you are aware, Angelus Academy has been seeking a new facility for a number of years.These efforts have borne fruit with identification of available property at 7644 Dynatech Court in Springfield, VA, a few miles from our present location.This facility -- a 33,000 sq. ft. stand alone building with space for classrooms, offices and substantial room to grow -- is an exciting opportunity for our school.
In order to complete such a purchase, significant bank financing must be arranged and a sizeable down payment is required.Although major benefactors (including all of the Trustees) have committed to help fund the purchase of a permanent home for Angelus Academy, this Capital Campaign is an essential element to secure necessary financing and provide additional funds for building modifications (i.e., adjustments to optimize a facility for school use).The Capital Campaign has a near-term goal of $750,000.00 to provide part of the required down payment and an additional, long-term goal of $2,500,000 to build out a permanent home in which Angelus Academy can flourish and thrive. The success of the Capital Campaign will of course be highly dependent on the generosity of the families, friends and benefactors of Angelus Academy.The Trustees and Capital Campaign committee have and will continue to reach out to potential donors for contributions.Angelus Academy families are asked to reach out to extended families (grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc.), friends, colleagues and fellow parishioners for contributions.The Capital Campaign committee will make available materials to help explain Angelus Academy and the objectives of the Capital Campaign.We would also be pleased to follow up with you and potential donors in person to discuss the needs of our school and the benefits of supporting this effort.
Contributions in any amount are welcome and sincerely appreciated, and significant donations will be necessary for the Capital Campaign to reach its near-term and long-term goals.Angelus Academy recognizes that many families make considerable sacrifices to attend the school, and we appreciate the commitment that all Angelus families make to faith formation and educational excellence for their children.Through the development of a new home for Angelus Academy, we seek to honor that commitment, extend the benefits our school to a larger community and preserve the Angelus mission for decades to come.All are requested to prayerfully consider their contribution to the Capital Campaign.
